Environmental Management System
We believe Cherokee is the only private equity fund to have an ISO 14001:2004-certified Environmental Management System (EMS). ISO 14001:2004 is the globally recognized standard for environmental management established in 1996 by the International Organization for Standardization, a network of national standards institutes from 145 countries.


Cherokee's EMS was first certified in 2003, and we recently completed another successful certification audit. Our EMS has provided and will continue to provide business and environmental benefits through better performance, increased focus on pollution prevention and sustainability, and improved regulatory compliance. Our EMS provides the framework for us to plan, implement, review and improve the processes and actions we undertake to meet our business and environmental goals.
